Parks and Recreation

  1. Aqua Aerobics for Arthritis

    November 24, 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM @ Aquatic Center

    This class is for those with arthritis or range if movement problems. Range of motion is the goal for this class along with some suspended cardiovascular exercise, resistance training and stretching.

  2. Hydro-Fit

    November 24, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM @ Aquatic Pool Center

    This is a low impact exercise class that strengthens muscles and joints and provides a great cardiovascular workout.

  3. Start Smart Basketball

    November 24, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Perry Park Center

    Start Smart Basketball is a six-week instructional program that helps parents work one-on-one with their children while teaching them the basics of basketball. The program helps prepare children for organized youth sports by using safe and fun equipment to teach them the basic motor skills needed to compete.

  4. Advanced Aqua Aerobics

    November 25, 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM @ Aquatic Pool Center

    A class for those who want a cardio workout. Thirty minutes of cardiovascular exercise, 10 minutes suspended abs, 10 minutes resistance and 10 minutes of stretching.

  5. Martial Arts

    November 25, 3:45 PM - 4:45 PM @ Perry Park Center

    This class is designed for kids and adults. Martial Arts is a great family activity! Improve your physical self while learning self-defense. Martial Arts is proven to boost self-confidence, focus, and teaches respect for yourself and other people. Class will run for 6 weeks offering 12 one hour sessions and will meet in the gymnasium at the Perry Park Center.

  6. Child Care Nights

    November 25, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Perry Park Center - Meeting Room

    Parents, are you wanting to exercise and work out at the Perry Park Center but do not have a babysitter? Then have your kids join the Perry Park Center staff for our child care nights! This is a time just for the kids while mom and dad workout in the facility. The kids will be supervised in the meeting room and get to play games, watch movies and much more!

  7. Yoga

    November 25, 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM @ Perry Park Center

    This is a Hatha Yoga class, focusing on the physical benefits of yoga. You will learn to improve your strength and flexibility, how to breathe correctly, and tone each muscle group. ALL physical abilities are welcome! Please bring a yoga mat, all other props are provided. Class will run for 6 weeks offering 12 one hour sessions and will meet at the Perry Park Center Theatre.

  14. Home School P.E.

    November 28, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM @ Perry Park Center

    Home School P.E. is a planned instructional program that provides 5 to 14 year old children standards-based physical education lessons that focus on health-related physical fitness, skill development, safety and positive social interactions. The program helps homeschooling families make physical education an essential part of the total curriculum, ensuring that enjoyment in physical activity continues as a natural part of children's everyday lives.
