Parks and Recreation

  1. Martial Arts

    April 2, 3:45 PM - 4:45 PM @ Perry Park Center - Gymnasium

    This class is designed for kids and adults. Martial Arts is a great family activity! Improve your physical self while learning self-defense. Martial Arts is proven to boost self-confidence, focus, and teaches respect for yourself and other people. Class will run for 6 weeks offering 12 one hour sessions and will meet in the gymnasium at the Perry Park Center.

  2. Yoga

    April 2, 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM @ Perry Park Center - Theatre

    This is a Hatha Yoga class, focusing on the physical benefits of yoga. You will learn to improve your strength and flexibility, how to breathe correctly, and tone each muscle group. ALL physical abilities are welcome! Please bring a yoga mat, all other props are provided. Class will run for 6 weeks offering 12 one hour sessions and will meet at the Perry Park Center Theatre.

    April 3, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM @ Perry Park Center

    Home School P.E. is a planned instructional program that provides 5 to 14 year old children standards-based physical education lessons that focus on health-related physical fitness, skill development, safety and positive social interactions. The program helps homeschooling families make physical education an essential part of the total curriculum, ensuring that enjoyment in physical activity continues as a natural part of children's everyday lives.

  4. Tot Time Classes

    April 7, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Perry Park Center

    We will explore the world of nature, learn new games and crafts, listen to stories and sign songs under the watchful eyes of the enthusiastic staff. Each class is themed differently for your child's creativity to come out and play!

  5. Youth Track and Field Club

    April 7, 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM @ Perryville High School Track

    The Perryville Parks and Recreation Department is holding a Youth Track & Field Club on Tuesday, March 24 at the Perryville High School track. Participants will practice once a week on Tuesdays. The season will run until mid May. All practices will be held at the Perryville High School track. The club will participate in at least two home meets and three away meets. Participants' will compete against several other communities in Southeast Missouri & St. Louis.

  6. Start Smart Baseball

    April 7, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Perry Park Center

    Start Smart Baseball is a six-week instructional program that helps parents work one-on-one with their children while teaching them the basics of baseball. The program helps prepare children for organized youth sports by using safe and fun equipment to teach them the basic motor skills needed to compete.
