Water Line Replacement Project - Mecker Rd

City of Perryville Public Works employees will be replacing the water line on Mecker Road in June 2018. We would like to apologize in advance for any interruptions in your daily lives. The water line will be laid in the right-of-way just behind the curb. Any driveway and/or yard that is impacted will be replaced after construction. The intersection of Oak and Mecker will be shut down temporarily while crews make the tie-in and start moving down the street. We will make provisions for local traffic to move in and out of Mecker at that time. The street may be closed for short periods of time but will be accessible to residents during the construction period.

The new line will provide a more consistent water supply as well as better fire flows. In addition to the water main, we will be replacing water service lines and meter settings. At this time, Mecker Road is scheduled to be concreted next year.

If you have any questions or special needs during construction, please call the Public Works Office at 547-2500.

Thank you,

Charlie McLeod
