Recyclable Items
Curbside recycling is offered in the City of Perryville through a partnership between the City and the Perry County Recycling Center at no cost to residential trash customers. Residents are allowed a maximum of two containers per household.
- Rinse and remove all lids on all containers.
- Do not bag items, except shredded paper and broken glass.
- When bagging broken glass, clearly mark "Broken Glass"
Recycling Pickup
- Ward 1: Tuesday
- Ward 2: Wednesday
- Ward 3: Thursday
Have your containers at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled day of pickup.
Items Accepted
- Dry newspapers & magazines
- Corrugated cardboard & pasteboard (cereal boxes, etc)
- No. 1 & 2 plastics (milk jugs, water bottles, etc)
- Aluminum
- Office paper
- Shredded paper (bagged)
- Steel cans (food cans) do not remove labels
- Clear & colored glass (clean glass only)
- E-Waste
- Batteries
Unacceptable Items
- Used motor oil Transmission fluid Used diesel fuel
- Hydraulic fluid Used vegetable oil
Contact the Recycling Center if
- Your container becomes missing or you no longer wish to participate with the recycling program. Residents are charged $10 for each contained not returned.
- You move to a new address within the City
- You would like to sign up for curbside recycling.
