Entertainment Series

The Concert Series started in 1986 and is proudly continuing to bring quality, cultural entertainment to Perryville. The Series features entertainers from all over the country and includes family oriented amusement with dancing, singing, musicians, magic, comedy and so much more! The membership includes tickets for all four performances in the months of September, December, February, and April. A free membership to the Chester Area Concert Association with tickets to all performances taking place in Chester, Illinois is also included. Perryville Theater Camp

Jennifer Birk-Cook, professional actress, has been working in children’s theater professionally since 1987 as an actress, director, teacher, and storyteller. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre and a minor in Children’s Theatre from Stephens College in 1989, and has performed plays for young people in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Minnesota. She has worked for several theater companies including ‘Boji Bantam Children’s Theatre Company and the Muny 1st Stage.
She currently performs her own audience participation children’s shows for schools and other groups, works as a free-lance director, and directs plays for Perryville High School.
Theater Camp consists of children from ages 4 and up learning to build sets, choreography, and application of stage make-up. Stage combat and acting lessons will be taught in small groups led by leaders from the high school and college drama classes. The two weeks of summer camp culminates in a thrilling performance for the entire family.
