The Personnel Clerk assists City departments in attracting, motivating and retaining a qualified, effective and diverse workforce, and provides employment-related services to the city's employees and to job applicants. The Personnel Clerk reports to the City Clerk.

The functions performed by the Personnel Clerk include:
