The City of Perryville received the Robert E. Williams System Achievement Award for 2020. This award was presented by the Missouri Public Utility Alliance and is given in recognition of exceptional quality of improvements in service to its customers.
The City of Perryville is pioneering Missouri’s new ‘design-build’ construction process for the new wastewater treatment plant. Once complete, the project will be Missouri’s first city wastewater project constructed under the state’s newly-approved design-build process.
The new WWTP will replace the older trickling filter process with a more modern, higher-capacity and environmentally effective facility. This project was approved by Perryville voters on August 7, 2018, and the project should be completed in 2022.
