Serving on Boards & Commissions
The Mayor appoints citizens to serve on several different advisory boards and commissions. Citizen involvement is considered extremely important to setting the direction for Perryville’s future and the input of these groups is regularly sought on various issues.
The appointed citizens serve in a volunteer capacity on the city boards and commissions. Members must take an oath of office and serve in the interest of public service to the Perryville community. The length of term varies by board and citizens may serve on only one board at a time. Each board or commission is responsible for electing its own chairperson and other officers.
Qualifications that must be met by members of city boards, commissions, and committees:
- Must be a registered voter of the city
- Shall not be in arrears in the payment of any taxes or liability due the city
If you have any questions or are interested in serving on any of Perryville’s boards or commissions, please contact the City Clerk or submit your
application to the City Clerk.
