Vinyasa Flow combines movement and the flow of energy to sync the body and the mind together. In this class you will work through a sequence of postures, slowly moving from one pose to the next while utilizing your breath to guide the movements. This class is available to students age 13 and older.

Fun, energetic, and the perfect way to start the day, this vinyasa-style flow class starts out with a total body warm-up, then transitions to a 30-minute breath-to-movement flow, and ends with stretching warmed-up muscles. Modifications, variations, and props are always available, so this class is the perfect fit for new and seasoned practitioners alike. This class is available to yoga students age 13 and older.

LIFEGUARD TRAINING COURSES
This is a Blended learning class. The prerequisite skills and 6-hour online portion of the class must be completed prior to the first day of the in-person session on March 14. It is recommended to complete the prerequisites prior to the online portion to assure these skills can be met before the time is invested into the online work.
Please schedule an appointment with Amy to be tested on the pre-requisite skills. A link will be sent to participants after they have enrolled and have completed the prerequisite skills.
Prerequisites for the class are as follows: 1. Complete a swim-tread-swim sequence w/o stopping to rest. Swim 150 meters using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. (Swim goggles are allowed). Maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs. Swim 50 meters using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. 2. Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards (the face may be in or out of the water). Swim goggles are not allowed. Surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7-10 feet and retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 meters on the back, return to the starting point while holding 10-pound object with both hands and keeping the face at or near the surface of the water. Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
*Must be 15 years of age on or before the final scheduled session of the course.
*For those not planning to become employed by the Perry Park Center after completion of the course, the fee for the class will be $200.00

Fishing is a great way for kids and families to have fun outdoors, learn about conservation, and make happy memories. Our Discover Nature-Fishing program is a hands-on, four-part fishing instruction series that helps families gain the skills and confidence they need to go fishing on their own.

Color your stress away
Pamela will lead you in a class full of stress relieving coloring at the Perry Park Center Meeting Room.
There are 2 sessions to choose from.
PAINT PARTY
Enjoy some quality time with your grandchild at Pamela's Paint Party. Pamela will provide you with all the materials necessary. Kids don't need any artistic skills to have fun and express their creativity. Everyone goes home with their very own masterpiece to remind them of all the fun they had.
Grandparents are free to attend; however, they are still required to register.
The first Monday every month will be dedicated to Seniors and their choice of craft, education, exercise or DIY project of their choice.
All materials are provided.
Private parties are available most Monday's. Gather your family/friends and we will provide the party of your choice.

Join the Perry Park Center and your Missouri Department of Conservation for a stroll through Blue Spring Branch Conservation area on the search of spring wildflowers.
On this hike you will learn to identify and enjoy common woodland blooms.
Transportation provided from the Perry Park Center to the hike location. Parking at the trailhead is limited, so please consider utilizing our shuttle.
This program is open to participants 12 years and older.
The hike covers about 1.5 miles of moderately difficult terrain. Expect uneven surfaces, uphill sections, and some slick mud and gravel. Please bring comfortable shoes or boots for walking and a liter of water.

Explore the natural wonders of Perry County with our two-part program, led by expert guides! Both sessions are required, with Thursday night focusing on caving education and Saturday left for exploring one of the caves in Perry County!

Proudly celebrating 250 years of Independence!
The race starts and ends at The Perry Park Center. The course will be a journey through the park and surrounding neighborhoods.
$20 Per Participant. Early Bird Discount: Receive $5 off if you register on or before April 12! Cash only day of registration.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt and post race refreshments. Any entry received after the early bird deadline (April 12) is not guaranteed a shirt on race day. Awards will be issued for the top overall male and female, along with the top three in each division. All proceeds go toward providing affordable events and recreation opportunities for the community.
If there is inclement weather, the race will be delayed up to 2 hours. The race will then be canceled. No refunds will be given.
