  • Leaves must be in biodegradable paper bags and placed at curbside. Biodegradable paper bags can be purchased at local retailers.

Vacuum sweeper

  • The vacuum sweeper is available for disposing of leaves during the months of October-December. An additional pickup period will occur during the Spring. Please place leaves next to curb for pickup.
Small yard waste (e.g. grass, straw flowers, gum balls, etc.) must be in biodegradable paper bags and placed at curbside.

Please do not mix other trash items with leaves or yard waste.

Limbs and large yard/garden waste (e.g. flower/garden stalks, twigs, shrubbery, etc) must be stacked loosely at curbside; do not tie materials together. Materials may be placed in some type of heavy storage container at the curbside that will not be removed from the property. Do not put paper bags, boxes, or any lightweight containers. Limbs must be no larger than 3” – 4” in diameter and 8’ in length; the city will chip at curbside or pickup at its discretion. No stumps, logs, or root wads will be collected.

Commercial services providing the cutting of trees and tree limbs shall provide for the cleanup, collection and removal of all such tree limbs and related items. In the event that the city provides for such removal, then the commercial cutting service and the property owner shall be jointly billed at the rate of fifty dollars ($50.00) per hour to clean up and dispose of said tree cuttings. Additionally, any individual involved in the commercial cutting service who does not comply with the provisions of this ordinance shall forfeit his license to do business within the City of Perryville.
