Liquor License

Your first contact regarding liquor licensing should be with the City Clerk’s Office at 573-547-2594. Once completed, all licenses are presented to the Board of Alderman for final approval.

Process


  1. Submit a completed liquor license application along with the fee associated with the type of license requested.
  2. Submit a Request for Criminal Record Check with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. - Findings must be submitted to the Collector's Office before your liquor license application can be approved.
  3. Completed application and criminal record check findings will be submitted to the Board of Aldermen for approval.
  4. Once your application has been approved, you will be issued a liquor license from the City of Perryville.

State of Missouri License


In addition to the City liquor license, the State of Missouri also requires businesses to have a state liquor license. Information regarding the state process can be obtained at the Missouri Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Tobacco Control website.

Renewal


All licenses must be renewed by July 1 each year.

Qualifications of Liquor License Applicant


  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Good moral character
  • Previous liquor licenses must not be revoked
  • Not convicted of a violation of law applicable to manufacturing or sale of liquor
